Thanks to my well-connected and stylish Aunt Linda at Lakestreet Studios for hooking us up with the Moooi Heracleum pendant light for the dining room.

Oven, hood and faucet…rounding things out in the kitchen

The Viola Park cabinets in the kitchen turned out beautifully — I couldn’t do them justice via photo with all of the floor protection / scrap material lying around, so I’ll do a more detail post later. For now, here’s a snapshot of the induction cooktop and corian countertop.

Kerf Cabinets and steel fireplace surround.

It was a long weekend of siding in the warm Seattle sunshine — a family affair, my father-in-law Rick (the pro), my Dad, Erika and I all chipped in to finally put a face on this little house. Tight-knot channel cedar (pre-stained light grey) and dark grey cement board in-fill pieces around the windows give the house a really subtle character that blends right into the landscape.

Kerf cabinets are ready…I visited their shop a few days ago to check out the finished product. Here’s a snapshot of the wine rack that will go above our refrigerator.

Floors sanded, lower floor painted, tile installed, light fixtures going in…all coming together
